In the four years I enjoyed New York City, from 2008 to 2012, and subsequent visits to this region, I&#8217;ve created much of my pieces with expanded notation, that I&#8217;ve named as <i>rare scores<\/i>. I admired and learned the music of Pauline Oliveros, Phill Niblock, Meredith Monk, Joan La Barbara, Harry Partch or Sarah Small, as well as the objects and proposals from the Fluxus collective or the writers Yarisa Col\u00f3n or Perdita Finn as an inexhaustible collection of open doors to freedom.
