ALICANTE: Concert of my music by the Conservatory’s Plectrum Orchestra

I am honored to announce that the Plucked String and Guitar Orchestra of the Alicante Professional Conservatory, conducted by Cuban Maryla Díaz, has selected me as its Composer-In-Residence till the spring of 2027.

The orchestra consists of plucked string instruments, guitars, percussion, winds, and double bass.

This concert will feature my compositions, including “Picasso Never Ends,” with a selection and adaptation of texts by Eva Guillamón, music by me, and a solo performance by Dúa da Pel.

I’m so thrilled!

Orquesta Ciudad de La Mancha, conducted by Fernando Bustamante, has very peculiar components:

    • Solo voice

    • Bandurrias I / Mandolinas I
    • Bandurrias II / Mandolinas II
    • Lutes
    • Flamenco guitar
    • Classical guitars
    • Double bass
    • 2 percussions
    • Accordion
    • Piano

In this concert in honor to Santa Cecilia, they’re going to play the four arrangements I wrote for them: Alfonsina y el mar, Habaneras de Cádiz, Mediterráneo y Gracias a la vida.

ALCÁZAR DE SAN JUAN: Premiere of ‘Pequeña suite peninsular’ for plectrum quintet

My Pequeña suite peninsular, one of my most perfored creations, is originally written for wind quintet. Professor  Fernando Bustamante asked me to adapt ir for plectrum quintet and this will be this version’s premiere.
