The original piece, for wind quintet, was premiered in 2004, at the Young European Musicians Gathering, in Saint Mèdard en Jalles (Bordeaux, France). That version has been performed all over the world. Since I wrote it to represent Spain, it is a walk through traditional music from different parts of the country.
The plectrum version is written for the plectrum ensemble of the Professional Conservatory of Campo de Criptana – Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real, Spain), conducted by Fernando Bustamante. It was premiered on March 7, 2023 in that center.
