I raise a banner of fire
in front of you I burn my words
in the incense of my blood

Here in this valley
that once had a river
born behind the volcano

I raise a snail banner
to call to the wind
that my prayer dance
in the spiral of the bone

Here in this valley
that was the land of feathers and jade
ruled by macaws and hummingbirds
the same that the river reproduced
amidst streams of aquatic mosaics
carried in the vertigo of the riverbed

I raise a banner of seeds
I shake my red rattle
to pray to the earth
