Noticias del silencio. El mono (News From Silence. The Monkey) is a musical theater play, or an experimental opera, for one dancer, two screens and two SATB choruses.

Created by Eva Guillamón and with music and drawings by Sonia Megías. Semifinalist at the Opera Vista Festival in Houston (Texas) in 2011. The play traveled to New York (2012), Madrid (2013, 2015) and southern Italy (2013).

He doesn’t speak, he only moves to the rhythm of his thoughts. Two choruses give voice to the right and left hemisphere of his brain.

This is the first part of the trilogy “Noticias del silencio” (News From Silence), an approach to madness in different stages: part one, individual madness; part two, assumption of collective madness; part three, collective madness taken to excess within the framework of the social structure.
